New By-Laws Proposal

Meeting: November 13th, 6pm, Long Beach Yacht Club

A Message from the NIA Board…

To the Naples Improvement Association Membership Community,

A key task that your NIA Board committed to the membership at last year’s Annual Meeting was an update of our current Association By-Laws. Earlier this year, we formed a By-Laws committee chaired by Greg Magnuson and comprised of board members, Roger Powell, Treasurer, and myself as President, and two community volunteers, Bill Davidson and Jeff Hoffman. This group was charged with updating our By-Laws to ensure greater transparency and more formal participation by our membership in the affairs of the association.

Our plan, following the current By-Laws, is to have the community vote on the proposed revisions, at our Annual Membership Meeting, 6 pm, Wednesday, November 13th, at the Long Beach Yacht Club, and if approved, put them into place, immediately thereafter.

I have linked both the proposed By-Laws and an FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) below for your review. I hope that you can take the time to review the proposal and that you will vote to approve the recommended changes.

Your board is dedicated to making Naples the best community it can be!  We welcome your input!
